Do Filipinos dub American movies and TV shows?

When I was visiting the Philippines three years ago I watched TV and discovered that Japanese anime gets dubbed in either Tagalog or English in a Filipino accent. But what about American movies and TV shows? Do they get dubbed in their own English dialect or do they just leave in the spoken American English?|||as a rule, if it is in english they just leave it as is.

%26amp; of course the filipinos do see hollywood movies %26amp; some of the american tv shows almost at the same time as americans.|||It isn't necessary to dubAmerican movies because English is understood by most people here|||there are shows from US that waas dubbed in tagalog...like "24"..the first time it was shown here it was dubbed...and it sucked...so the second season was not shown....but most english programs are not dubbed because most of us understand it..only the japanes, taiwanese, korean and the likes.|||The first few seasons of "Alias" was also dubbed in Tagalog but eventually they retained the dialogue in English since it's not really necessary to dub it because everyone in the Philippines can understand English.|||yeah alias and 24 was tagalized(dubbed in tagalog) before but they are left undubbed the next season or so...|||Some but not all it depends on what station and its market viewers, like ABS CBN channel 2 used to dubbed 24 in tagalog but in their sister channel 23 its not, usually programs there are are in English. I don't remember a movie that is been dubbed as Tagalog cause its ugly and besides even we are not fluent in English we can understand it so why bother. But japanese, korean, chinese we do especially it is been watched by kids. But if you notice most teenagers know few words or phrases in japanese because of watching anime dvd's that has a subtitle in English.|||They just leave as they are. Almost all of the people in the Philippines understand and speak English.|||Almost everyone here knows the english language and they can easily relate to it. Japanese, Latin and other languages are not easily understood by an ordinary Filipino so telenovelas and animes that are in foreign format are needed to be translated otherwise it's like Filipinos are sticking their eyes on the monitor and enjoying TV advertisments.
