Why do most american movies contain s*x scenes ? And is that a source of pride to Americans ?

Because I have talked to americans in person and they are people like others who know very well that we are humans not animals, we don't sleep with whoever we like -unlike what the media is trying to point out.


And if they don't like that, why aren't they demonstrating against it?|||It is a well-known fact that sex sells.


Sex is an all encompassing part of American media and movies/music/tv is constantly saturated with sex.





Promiscuity is an established part of the American culture. I'm not sure what came first, if the media being saturated with sex influenced our culture to lean that way or if our culture was like that to begin with, but definitely the whole Sexual Revolution/ Hippie/ Free Love movement in the 60's and 70's opened up our culture to that aspect.





The amount of money that the American movie/music industry makes would make it seem that most people are ok with that fact. That's probably why people wouldn't demonstrate against it. And usually if they do protest it, they are usually negatively portrayed as religious fanatics with repressed sexuality.


American culture simply isn't interested in things that are pure, wholesome, or genuine.|||becuase it gets more people to watch it








i think|||humans are animals, they've been classified as such for hundreds of years and is the basis for modern medicine





if we werent animals why are we 100% exactly like an animal right down to the genetic code?|||What's a s*x scene? Do you mean, SEX? You act like it's a dirty word.|||Movies from the 80s were better. In an R rated movie, there was always an obligatory boob scene. Women taking showers, changing, sex, etc. You could even see boobs in like half of the PG-13 rated movies. Boobs are less prevalent in today's movies - a very sad trend if you ask me.|||Ok, lifelong American here, %26amp; I agree that the general "American" way is too promiscuous. Too much sex talk, etc.





So I guess I am saying that ther are a few Americans who are not like all the rest.
