What are some old American movies that have lots of commentary on some aspect of the time they were made?

An example would be To Kill a Mockingbird, which comments on race in the South.|||Wall Street (corporate greed of the 80s)


Birth of a Nation (praise for the KKK, seen as a positive presence by MANY Americans)


Little Women (a woman's place is in the home)


Imitation of LIfe (it's not good to pass for white if you are really black)
