How much has the real american teen life has to do with the american teen movies?!?

I mean the lines, are so fake, the...events I mean..huh...it's like so not real life...even the characters are so oveeeeeeer emphasized...how do you think american teens, how much the movies show the real story :) ?|||the only accurate thing about those movies is the fact that teenagers WILL party and they WILL have sex (well....most of them).


Most teenagers in real life will NOT however:


-All be driving Escalades and Mercedes


-All look like Barbie and/or Ken or an ethnic variety of either


-All live in 10 bedroom Colonial homes


-All look that they have far surpassed the point of sexual maturation (look like they're 25-30)


-Get all good grades despite never seeming to attend classes, study or complete assignments


-All live in college dorms that seemed to be completely inhabited by half dressed play-boy co-eds.





All these things are sooooo unrealistic with teenage movies. When I went to school...it was nothing like that...for most of high school, I took the bus. For my friends who actually DID drive, we usually crammed 10 of us into a small hatch back. My college life was broke, and I studied all the time. My dorms were just that...dorms...NOT filled with sexy, playboy co-eds, but other struggling students just trying to get good grades and keep their head above water.


Movies are meant to be an escape from reality to indulge in a story. These teen movies are JUST THAT, far from reality and most...not even with a good story! lol|||It's all over exaggerated but basically true. If you take out the "shock" and the "chaos" for the most part...|||not enough banging and snortin imo|||if u have a big penis or your a hot girl, sure it will be like the teen movies but otherwise, ur a loser and life sux unless you can live happily without sex|||Hollywood rarely portrays any people group accurately - key offenders are:





Teens, kids, cops, parents, and born again Christians|||Depends on the movie. I would not say that my life is anything like Pineapple Express, but that's just me.


Though i would say that american teens are all for living in the moment.|||i could nt tell ya but if its like that im sorry to say but america is gay
