If i was confined in a room and was watching nothing but american movies, tv shows and music, would I develop?

an American accent?

Assume I make no contact with anybody in the outside world.|||for long enough then ya|||you would be considered "feral" according to sociology. people would think you are either severely mentally ill or trapped. An since you are feral, you would not know how to speak and would not be able to communicate without the immediate help of speech pathologists.|||i think you will. i watch all this american movies more than my own language im not saying im good cause im still learning it but im telling you it works for me, my friends told me i have different accent.i always mimic people accent on tv and i practice a lot in fron of the mirror.|||Which accent? New Yorker? Southern? Texan? Midwestern? South Western? Western?

Be more specific. I'm assuming you mean the accent that most Americans speak.

It probably would have some sort of effect on your speech.|||you would probably develop brain cancer.

UPDATE:

actually no,you can't develop accent by watching movies. The only way you do it is by talking to other human beings.|||Depends on what you watch. Nothing but Andy Griffith you would develop a southern accent. etcetera, etcetera|||No, There are a variety of American accents. Just depends on what State/location you're in.
