That is of asian women being portrayed as obedient, seductive, or evil martial artists. It is crucial that the films are rather recent (1995-present) and that the films are American or made for primarily an American audience. I need to write a paper on how asian women are consistently steoryotyped but I can not find and American recent film that meets that criteria.
If you are going to suggest the Disney film Mulan, don't bother I have seen it already and now I need another film.
Thanks :)|||Kill Bill 1%26amp;2|||The Last Samurai
|||I don't think Mulan was a stereotypical role. I think an entire empire that forces women to walk behind them and are not aloud to speak..ever...bowing down to Mulan was anything but a stereotype. I actually wanted the Mongolians to win in that movie just so China could get its cummupins from all the awful living it put its women through.
errr anway, most recently I can think of would be Michelle Yeoh's character in The Mummy part 3. Something bout Dragon Emporer.|||Umm... Miami Vice (movie), Charlie's Angels, the Last Samurai..
There are more but I can't think right now ):|||maybe D.O.A.? (Dead or Alive Movie)
or Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift|||The Last Samurai, Rush hour1,2%26amp;3, a bunch of movies with Zhiyi Zhang and that older lady (don't know her name). I'm not sure which of those are primarily made for an American audience though.
Now start naming off the Western made films that depict the stereotypical loud, aggressive, annoying, materialistic, over sexual gun slinging heroine made primarily for an American audience.
