In our history class, we have a huge project due tomorrow on the American Revolution, and we need a video clip to accompany our PowerPoint presentation.
Are there any good movies that I could possibly pick up at Blockbuster about the American Revolution? And if so, are there any specific scenes that best depict the American Revolution?|||John Adams from HBO is good, it goes through everything...|||Don't rely on Hollywood to teach you history, they are notorious for not letting historical fact get in the way of a blockbuster. Hence Hollywood History is notoriously inaccurate.
They struggle to keep true to books, so you have no chance with historical events.
Movies like The Patriot are entertaining, but they are not history lessons, nor are they meant to be.|||"The Patriot" with Mel Gibson.
I can't vouch for the accuracy of the movie (I think the producers took some artistic liberties). However, the military style battles were more or less realistically portrayed. (Uniforms, weapons, etc.)|||The series "Liberty: The American Revolution" is a GREAT documentary series.|||The History Channel Presents the Revolution
